Backdirt, the annual review of the UCLA Cotsen Institute of Archaeology, grew from a short newsletter into a full-color, 100+ page magazine during my tenure in the publications office. This provided a unique opportunity to design an entire periodical from cover to cover. Displayed here are a few spreads from the 2010 issue – two feature articles and in info-graphic.
